Awarded 1964 – Associateship Diploma in Illustrative Photography at RMIT

Professional Appointments:

1937-1940 – Laboratory Assistant under Mr L A Baillot
Between 1940 Assistant Photographer in the Victoria Police Forensic Laboratory. Promoted to head of the photographic section until 1943.
1943 Royal Australian Navy – Naval Intelligence Officer, Photographic Officer and Public Relations Officer.
1946 returned to the Vic Police Department where he stayed until 1949
1949-1956 appointed full-time assistant instructor of photography
1956-1970 Instructor-in-charge
1970 – study leave to tour educational institutions abroad and report back to RMIT about their practices.
1970-1979  – Head Department of Photography
1971 – Accepted invitation to join special committee to review the courses and curricula of the Art and Design School at Prahran College of Technology. 

He retired in April 1979
